SCENARIO 1
Two kindergarten students argue over whether or not Elmo, a character on Sesame Street, is real.
"Elmo's real!"
"No he's not."
"Yes he is!"
"You're such a baby. How can you believe he's real? I bet you think Santa is real too."
SCENARIO 2
Joshua (9 yrs) and Adam (10 yrs) were best friends. They did everything together, including mischievous acts. After meeting his counselor and parents, Joshua decides to be more responsible and improve his grades. Adam now feels left out and betrayed by Joshua. During lunch Adam begins to teas Joshua and call him gay. Adam engaged in name calling as well. This conflict results in a physical altercation.
SCENARIO 3
During recess a group of 6 second grade students were deciding what game to play. Jezebel and Monica wanted to play hide and seek. Kevin, Randy and Andrew wanted to play kickball. Nancy just wanted to sit and talk with everyone. The students were arguing loudly. Randy and Monica began to hit each other and call each other names.
SCENARIO 4
Three 1st graders are sitting in the cafeteria eating. Due to rain, the students will have recess in the cafeteria. Maritza and Xiomara are horse playing (hitting each other and running away). When Darling joined the game, both Xiomara and Maritza begin to hit her. Maritza and Xiomara grabbed Darling, threw her to the floor. When Darling tried to get away, Xiomara yells, "Get her! The robber is getting away." Maritza then bites Darling leaving teeth marks on her arm.
SCENARIO 5
Joyce and Daniel are classmates in the 6th grade. Daniel had a crush on Joyce in the 5th grade, but it seems to have gone away. They never really talked about it. now that they are in 6th grade, Daniel likes to tease Joyce. Some of his jokes are really cruel as he tends to refer to her as a bastard and ridicules the death of her father. Despite this conflict, there are days when both students get along well. However, 1/5 days of the week there is a conflict involving them (writing notes about her, teasing, laughing other people's jokes at her expense).
